Driver License, Learner Permit Expiration Extended

If your driver license expired during the pandemic, you will get some more time, according to PennDOT.

Expiration dates for driver licenses, identification cards, and learner’s permits will be expandedย scheduled to expire from March 16 through May 31 are now extended through June 30.

PennDOT said the extensions are in response to the statewide COVID-19 mitigation measures.

All Driver License Centers and Photo License Centers will remain closed until further notice. The centers first closed on March 17.

Drivers can complete various transactionsย and access multiple resources onย dmv.pa.gov. Among the services offered online is driver’s license, photo ID and vehicleย registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling.
