Falls Township is planning to seek more grant funding.
The municipality of 33,700 has hired New Jersey-based grant writing firm Millennium Strategies LLC to help seek funds for projects. The decision to hire the firm for $3,000 per month for one year came at last Monday’s virtual Board of Supervisors meeting.

While the price may seem high, Supervisors Chairperson Jeff Dence said the price is worth it due to the grant totals that could be obtained.
“The amount of money that we’ll potentially save is substantial,” he said.
Millennium Strategies will set up a strategic plan, review each of the township department’s upcoming projects, research grant opportunities related to what is planned, and seek out a variety of grants, Interim Township Manager Matt Takita said.

Millennium Strategies said in their proposal to Falls Township that they had brought in more than $10.3 million for Middletown since 2010.
Dence said the firm “came highly recommended from some of our neighboring municipalities.”

Middletown has been “aggressively” seeking grants to fund programs over the past several years, according to past budget presentations.
