The Office Depot distribution center on Frost Road in Bristol Township will be closing.

The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry on Monday.

The notice that says 175 workers will lose their jobs blames the COVID-19 pandemic for the closure, but notes the job loses will be permanent.

The layoffs will happen between June 5 and June 18.

The company, which operates Office Depot and Office Max stores, said an “overall decline in business” led to the upcoming closure.

Employers with 100 or more full-time employees are required to notify the government of plant closings or mass layoffs under the WARN Act.

Last month, Arirang Hibachi Steakhouse on East Lincoln Highway laid off 20 workers temporarily due to COVID-19. Drive Time’s inspection center on South Pennsylvania Avenue in Falls Township’s Morrisville section laid off 130 employees in the short-term because of the pandemic, according to paperwork submitted to the state.
