The Pennsylvania unemployment rate slightly rose in January.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry said the unemployment rate was up one-tenth of a percentage point to 4.7 percent in January.

The national unemployment rate for January also was up a tenth from December to 3.6 percent, but it dropped to 3.5 percent in February, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The largest industry supersector gain was in construction, which rose to match a high set in January 2007.
In December, the latest month that data was available, the unemployment rate in Bucks County was at 4.2 percent.
