A Middletown man who is already in hot water is facing burglary charges out his hometown.
Brent Jonathan Leone, 31, was charged earlier this month with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft, and related offenses in Middletown. The charges are on top of three recent active burglary cases in Newtown Township and a burglary and institutional vandalism at a place of worship case from Bensalem.

According to court papers, Leone cut copper pipe attached to a closet connected to the freezer at Uncle Bill’s Deli on Highland Park Place in Levittown on August 26 early in the morning. He is then accused of cutting open the locked freezer door and taking cookies and a bag of fries before getting in a car and driving off.
The 2019 burglary was captured on video and Leone was identified by staff from the Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole Department, police said.
In October, a probation officer aided a Middletown detective as they matched the vehicle in the burglary surveillance video to Leone, police said.

Middletown Detective Brian Hymes spoke with Newtown Township detectives who were investigating Leone for incidents in their municipality. During a search executed at a Bensalem home where Leone was staying, a piece of copper the same size as the one taken from Uncle Bill’s Deli was located, police said.
Before his current cases, Leone has a history of run-ins with area law enforcement, according to court papers.

With several active cases, Leone remained in the Bucks County Correctional Facility in Doylestown Township unable to post bail as of Friday. His bail in the Middletown case was set at $200,000 unsecured bail, court dockets stated.
