A man is accused of attacking a Falls Township police officer early Friday morning.

Falls Township officers were called to the Del Val Trailer Park in the Morrisville section of the township around 5:15 p.m. last Friday for a report of a burglary.

While at the scene off Old Bristol Pike, it was “quickly determined” that the burglary was unsubstantiated, police said.

Gerald W. Tomaselli, who turns 42 on Thursday, allegedly ran out of the home and said “I’m gonna kill them,” police said.

Tomaselli allegedly charged at an officer and punched him in the right eye.

While two officers attempted to arrest Tomaselli, he flailed his body before being placed in handcuffs, police said.

Court papers noted the officer was injured but did not list the extent.

Tomaselli was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned Friday before District Judge Jan Vislosky and bail was set at 10 percent of $200,000.
