Doo-Wop Concert Returns To Bristol This Weekend

Harmony and melody will come from the stage this weekend at Bristol Borough’s waterfront.

The Bristol Borough Council’s annualย 2018 Doo-Wop In The Park concert will feature the music ofย The Duprees; Bobby โ€œBrooksโ€ Wilson, son of the legendary Jackie Wilson; Eddie Holman; The Knockouts; The Vogues; and the high-energy girl cover-band The Chiclettes.ย DJ Greg Whit will emcee this yearโ€™s free concert that starts Saturday at 5 p.m. at Riverfront Park

There will be tasty food trucks with pizza, burgers, and cheesesteaks. Additionally, concert-goers can grab a bite and a pint at the number of restaurantsย within walking distance of the concert.

โ€œThis annual event has morphed into the largest single day event in Bucks County,โ€ said Ralph DiGuissepe, Bristol Borough council president.

Chairs and blankets are suggested for the audience and alcohol is not permitted.

Courtesy buses and free parking will be available at the Lenox Building parking lot located on the 1400 block of Radcliffe Street. Shuttle bus service will begin at 3:30 p.m. and run consecutively throughout the afternoon until 11 p.m.

A rain date is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m.
