A woman was taken to the hospital following an alleged assault in Bristol Township earlier this month, according to law enforcement.

A Bucks County Ranger, a member of a law enforcement agency that patrols county parkland and facilities, was called to the the Dallas Diner along Route 13 around 7:15 a.m. on Monday, July 2 for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, the ranger began an investigation and spoke with the woman who reported being attacked.

The woman said she met with the father her children – Collin Robert Firman, 25, with addresses in both Bensalem and Philadelphia – at the McDonalds along Route 13 around 6:50 a.m. on July 2 and they drove to Silver Lake Park on Bath Road. At the park, the woman said Firman struck her in the face when he accused her of seeing someone else, authorities said.

The woman was bleeding from her nose when Firman got on top of the woman and began to strangle her, stating he was going to killer, authorities said.

The woman ended up being pushed into the backseat of the car and tried to escape. Her attempt was thwarted when Firman grabbed her hair and drug her back into the car, authorities said.
