A large three-sided illuminated advertising installation called the “Middletown Monument” is under construction.
The advertising structure will feature three video screens at corner of Lincoln Highway and Oxford Valley Road in Middletown. Designed to feature a large “M” and a large “T,” the sign will also be lighted and have maintained landscaping around it, according to promotional material and a government official.

Middletown Building and Zoning Director Patrick Duffy said the sign is designed as a gateway to the township.

The sign, owned and operated by Catalyst Outdoor, replaces a long-closed transmission building that was torn down earlier this year.
According to county property records, Catalyst Outdoor purchased the property for $800,000 in January.

Catalyst Outdoor put up a somewhat similar advertising sign up along Route 309 in Quakertown and that received mixed reviews, including resident attempts to get it replaced, according to the Bucks County Herald.
