Is My Town Under A Snow Emergency?

The region’s fourth nor’easter in a month is expected to bring between 12 to 18 inches of snow to the area. Ahead of the storm, local municipalities have begun declaring snow emergencies ahead of the first flakes.

Bristol Borough

No declaration has been made.

Bristol Township

Bristol Township has declared aย disaster emergency from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 6 p.m. Thursday. The township said all residents are to remove vehicles, trailers and boats from public streets.ย Vehicles, trailers, and boats left parked on township roadways during the snow emergency will be subject to ticketing and towing by police.ย

Fire Marshalย Richย Dippolito said a snow emergency would begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday and expire at 7 p.m. Thursday. All residents are required to move vehicles, boats, and trailers from the street and into driveways. The fire marshal cautioned residents not to use generators inside if there is a power outage.

Langhorne Borough

Mayor Joe Taylor declared a snow emergency in the borough beginning at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday. Hereโ€™s what borough officials advise residents to do:

  • No parking of vehicles on streets to allow for clean-up
  • Clear snow from sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of the storm
  • Do not move snow into streets

Langhorne Manor Borough

No declaration has been made.

Penndel Borough

Mayor Bob Winkler declared a snow emergency beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue through noon Thursday. Authorities asked residents to remove vehicles from the streets so plows can clear the streets.

Middletown Township

Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said the township has declared a snow emergency starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Authoritiesย said vehicles parked in the roadway one hour after snow begins falling and 12 hours after it has ended are subject to tickets, per township ordinance. McGuire has previously warned residents not to put generators too close to homes. He also asked residents to clear snow aware from fire hydrants.

Tullytown Borough

A snow emergency begins at 6 a.m. Wednesday and continues until 6 a.m. Thursday, unless earlier recalled. Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the street. Off-street parking locations will be the Borough Municipal Lot and Levittown Lake Lot.
