Officers Recognized For Work With K-9 Unit, SWAT

Two veterans of the Middletown Township Police Department were recently recognized for their service.

The township acknowledged Officer Jeff Swenson for his 21 years of service and leadership in the department’s K-9 unit. Recently, his police dog Max was retired from duty.

“He not only provided great service for 21 years, but also great leadership to the [K-9] unit,” police Chief Joseph Bartorilla said.

Officer Nelson Webb was thanked for his 19 years as a member of the South Central Emergency Response Team, a multi-department SWAT team he helped found 19 years ago.

Lt. Pete Feeney presented the officers with a plaque to applauded them for their service.

Both officers will remain with the department’s patrol unit.
