Flames Shoot From Car After Crash

A car burst into flames after a Friday morning crash at one of the area’s busiest intersections.

A dark-colored sedan had flames shooting from the hood after an 8 a.m. collision at New Falls Road and Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township.

As of Friday evening, there was no word on injuries. Police said the collision remained under investigation.

Bristol Township and Middletown police directed traffic to keep the busy intersection moving.

The Newportville and William Penn fire companies responded to extinguish the car fire. Medics from the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad were also on the scene.
