A developer is looking to add a couple of retail business and a medical office to a long-vacant gas station in Bristol Township.
Delaware County-based 3024 New Rodgers Road LLC sent representatives to present a sketch plan for 3024 Veterans Highway (Route 413) and 3203 and 3205 Ford Road to the Bristol Township Planning Commission last week. The builder plans to consolidate the lots into one 2.8 acre parcel.

Land development attorney Tom Hecker said the old Getty gas station at the corner of Veterans Highway and Ford Road sits in the area where the developer is looking to build two retail locations and a medical office. He said Getty had rectified environmental issues at the former gas station.
Sketch plans show a medical office will be built off Ford Road, an AutoZone in the center of the lot and a Wendy’s farthest away from Ford Road. Hecker noted that the retailers are interested in the lot but not locked in if plans move forward.
Dave Weaver, senior project manager at Penn Environmental & Remediation, told the planners entry driveways would be located off Ford Road and Veterans Highway. PennDOT has offered some early input and changes will be made.

The sketch plans were presented to get feedback and will help the developer put together a more formal plan.
No action was taken by planners and they offered little criticism of the development plan.
