A Morrisville woman was arrested and charged after mysteriously appearing at a man’s home in the 4000 block of Pine Avenue in Levittown.

Kelly Marie Miller, 29, caused a stir when her presence caused her victim’s birds to chatter Sunday morning. That noise woke up the resident, who located Miller in the kitchen holding a number of his belongings, according to court papers filed by Bristol Township Officer Jason Mancuso.

Upon becoming startled, Miller began explaining to the resident that he knew her; and he denied knowing the alleged burglar and told her to leave his property, police said.

When Miller left, the man checked his vehicles and found that they had been gone through and that there were missing items. One of the victim’s cars, a 1993 Jeep Wrangler, had roughly $2,000 in damage. His vehicle registration and handicap placard were missing, but he found Miller’s cell phone, court papers noted.

The man called police after finding Miller’s cell phone and turned the device over to the authorities.

Later that morning, Miller went to the police headquarters in Bristol Township to retrieve her phone. When officers explained the situation to Miller, she told them she was at the house looking for a man named John, despite the current resident and his family living at the residence for 37 years, police said.

Miller reportedly returned to the man’s Pine Avenue home and yelled at the victim, accusing him of calling the police. When he admitted that he did indeed call the cops, Kelly is accused of scooping up some of the items she previously tried to take and left.

Officers found the man’s property dumped near the Bristol Township Police Department and returned it to him, authorities said.

Miller was charged with a felony of burglary, a misdemeanor of criminal mischief and two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property. Miller is being held on 10 percent of $100,000 at the county prison.
