A group of fighter jets and a large refueling tanker that flew over the Levittown area Monday evening belonged to the Royal Saudi Air Force, a military spokesperson said.

Senior Airman Lauren Russell told LevittownNow.com that the four Eurofighter Typhoon multirole jets were flying with their refueling tanker over the Philadelphia region on their way to a pit stop at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, which is only about 20 miles from Levittown.
The jets were in formation traveling from Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to their home base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Russell said.
The New Jersey-based airman said the formation was standard as the Royal Saudi Air Force jets prepared to head home.

The Royal Saudi Air Force fighters were participating in the U.S. Air Force-hosted Exercise Red Flag in Nevada. The exercise hosts fighter pilots from around the world as part of air combat training.

The formation of jets flew only a few thousand feet over the skies of Lower Bucks County before banking toward Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
