A rainy end to the work week and start to the weekend is expected by forecasters.
According to the National Weather Service’s Mt. Holly, New Jersey, Office, a “significant” rain event that will begin Thursday night and continue through Saturday. The heaviest rain is forecasted for Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.

Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency meteorologist Jeff Jumper tweeted a map that indicated Lower Bucks County could see 2 to 3 inches of rain.
Forecasters warn the storm system could cause flooding of creeks, streams and area with poor drainage, especially in areas impacted by last weekend’s heavy rains.
On Friday afternoon, there is a heightened risk of strong winds and hail.

No watches or warnings were issued as of Thursday morning, but a Hazardous Weather Outlook was posted ahead of the weathers system.
