Officer Suffers Injury During Arrest, Scuffle

Officers from several area departments assisted in the arrest of a man Sunday in Bristol Borough.

Jordan Roberts, 30, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

According to the Bristol Borough Police Department, officers were investigating a reported possible armed subject when they encountered the subject, Roberts, and he began to physically fight with the officers.

While the scuffle was happening, a group of individuals began to surround the officers and attempted to interfere with the arrest, police said.

Several police departments rushed to assist in the arrest of Roberts, with one officer suffering an injury that caused him to be treated and then released from Lower Bucks Hospital, authorities said.

Once in custody, police noted that Roberts was found to be in possession of narcotics.

Roberts was arraigned and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
