A charitable donation from a nonprofit organization has allowed one K-9 dog from Falls Township to be outfitted with body armor.
The Falls Township Police Department’s K9 Leo will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to Vested Interest in K9s Inc. The vest, which costs $1,050 will be embroidered with the sentiment, “In memory of K9 Ty, California City Police Department.”

The vest, which comes with a five year warranty, weighs between four and five pounds.
Vested Interest in K9s Inc. is a charity based in Massachusetts whose mission is to provide vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
