It was a prank … and some parents were fooled.

A Facebook post stating Harry S. Truman High School in Bristol Township would be closed Monday, January 2 due to an electrical problem were all a hoax, according to a statement from the school district.

Below is a message from Truman Principal Lyndell Davis:

Today message was posted on Facebook stating that Truman High School would be closed on Monday, January 2, 2017 due to an electrical issue. That message was a hoax from an unknown source. Truman High School will operate on a normal schedule on Monday, January 2, 2017. Students should report to their bus stop at their normal time. Please see the district or Truman website for additional information. Thank you!

Monday is set to be the first day for students after the week-long holiday break.
