The cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Middletown’s Levittown section late last month has been ruled “undetermined.”
Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said the home in the 40 block of Fountain Road was so badly damaged that the cause of the fire could not be determined. He added that there was no evidence to indicate the fire was suspicious.

The damage to the second floor was so heavy the origin and exact cause of the morning fire that sent flames shooting into the sky was near impossible to find, the fire marshal said.
The fire was reported around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, October 25. By the time firefighters arrived, flames were already shooting through the roof.
The residents were home at the time of the fire and escaped without serious injury.
