Middle School Assistant Principal Named Acting Principal At Tawanka

The assistant principal for Poquessing Middle School in the Neshaminy School District has recently been named acting principal for the new Tawanka Elementary School.

According to a press release, Donald Palmer will replace Michael Rodriguez, who is leaving the district for a position in Delaware. Palmer’s position will also be filled internally within the district.

Palmer, who previously taught health and physical education, will help oversee the fall opening of Tawanka, which is currently nearing the end of its construction in Lower Southampton.

Palmer has also previously served as the Graduation Project Coordinator at Neshaminy High School, and was principal of Neshaminyย Summer School in 2014.ย A search for a permanent principal at Tawanka will begin during the 2016-2017 school year.
