The students presented their findingsย in an open session at the Philadelphia university. There were divisions for high school, undergraduate studies, graduate students and post-doctoral research. The students won at the high school level.
According to Smith, the research that the students presented is part of an ongoing project to map iron ion concentrations in the Otter Creek Watershed, which goes from Silver Lake to Bristol Marsh. Smith said the research is looking for ion cycling over time.
