A person was struck by a Amtrak train Sunday and survived.
Officials said the person was struck on the track area near the Croydon Regional Rail Station in Bristol Township around noon. Amtrak spokesperson Mike Tolbert said the train “made contact” with the individual and they received only minor injuries.

Township policeย and medics responded to the scene.
“There was no legitimate reason they were [by the tracks,] Tolbert stated. “They were certainly trespassing.”
Train 143 heading from New York City to Washington D.C. was stopped for 50 minutes following the trespasser strike, Tolbert said.
