The Bristol waterfront was a bit closer to the central business district Sunday afternoon.
The Delaware River swelled a few feet over its banks at the Bristol Wharf. The water was still a few yards from the free borough parking lot but seemed to slowly edge closer.

The swollen river was reported to be at 10.5 feet in Trenton as of 12:15 p.m. Sunday. By Monday at 1 p.m., the river height is expected to reach 11.8 feet. The water levels are still about 8 feet away from flood stage, according to the National Weather Service.
The minor flooding comes after heaving rains that happened Saturday night and Sunday morning.
