The fire that caused a truck from an electrical contractor to burst into flames was caused when its boom struck a high-voltage power line.

Some power and traffic disruptions were caused after the incident.
The fire drew crews fromย Bristol Consolidated Fire Company,ย Bristol Fire Company No. 1 and Goodwill Hose Company.

A truck with a mounted auger attached caught fire Wednesday afternoon in Bristol Borough.

The construction vehicle with the mounted auger appeared to be engulfed in flames when firefighters responded to the 200 block of Route 13. The fire is ironically across the road from the Smokin’ Joes Tobacco Shop.
The auger boom appeared to be touching or very close to a group of utility wires that sits along and across Route 13.

The truck fire was dispatched to Bristol firefighters around 2:30 p.m.
No serious injuries were immediately reported.
