The man who reportedly jumped in front of an Amtrak train just past Croydon in Bensalem on Thursday afternoon has been identified.
The man was identified by the Bucks County Courier Times as 31-year-old Bensalem resident Charles L. Briggs Jr. His death was ruled a suicide.

Authorities said the train struck Briggs around 4:50 p.m. Passengers tweeted the train stopped and alerted those on board on what happened.
The fatality caused delays on Amtrak’s Northeast Regional line and SEPTA Trenton Line.
