Local Businessman Becomes The ‘Trash Daddy’ With New Venture

You can call businessman Richard Coleman the “Trash Daddy,” and he won’t even mind it.

Coleman recently opened Trash Daddy roll-off dumpster service. The dumpster rental company serves Lower Bucks County from Andalusia to Newtown.

The Falls Township-based company launched in June after local dumpster service E.S. Vile & Sons was sold to Texas-based Waste Management. Coleman said he learned of the opportunity and took the chance to leap into a new venture.

From commercial to residential projects, Coleman said customers who use Trash Daddy will be please.

Jeremy Conard, who handles marketing for Trash Daddy, said the company offers quick delivery once an order is placed. Coleman added that dumpsters can be delivered within 24 hours of being ordered.

Despite Trash Daddy’s local success, Coleman said he does not have any plans to expand and wants to remain focused on the local market.

Currently, there are two hauling trucks and 50 dumpsters, also know in the industry as “cans,” in use by the company. The filled dumpster are transported from the job site to a processing facility in Bucks County.

Coleman took his experience he gained from operating Bristol Industries of Pennsylvania, a company that makes metal gangways for boats and docks, and has put it toward Trash Daddy. Bristol Industries has been around since 1988 and Coleman has owned it since 1999. The local businessman said he proudly employs several people at the Old Oxford Valley Road facility shared by Bristol Industries and Trash Daddy.

His most important rule in business: “Stick to your word.”

Coleman said his customer service is what has made him successful in both the ramp business and the dumpster rental sector.

“Your word is everything,” he said. “You need to keep to it.”
