Two cars were burnt to a crisp and a Middletown home was severely damaged in a Sunday evening house fire.
The fire, which happened in the 100 block of Trappe Lane, started around 7:45 p.m. and was first noticed by a neighbor, according to officials.

Fire Marshal Jim McGuire told LevittownNow.com investigators from his office have determined the blaze began in the area of a propane grill that was stored in the garage. The homeowner told McGuire that the grill was warm from being used when it was placed back in the garage, just as the homeowner had done for years.
Firefighters from the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, Newtown Fire Association, Parkland Fire Company and Yardley-Makefield Fire Company responded and quickly worked to put down the flames.

The vehicles and propane tank acted as accelerant for the quick-moving flames, McGuire said.

No injuries were reported.
While the warm grill is suspected of starting the fire, McGuire said no final determination has been made as of Sunday night.
