The rundown and debilitated Mill Run building on Wilson Avenue in Bristol Borough may see new light.

Members of the Dallas Properties LLC group were present at the May 11 Bristol Borough Council meeting to present plans for the currently vacant Mill Run building on Wilson Avenue.

Bob White, the executive director of the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority (BCRDA), was present at the meeting. “It’s been a long battle, but it has been nice working with the Borough and getting all this together,” he said.

According to the group’s attorney, Michael Hollister, the building, which has been vacant for a number of years, will likely be turned into a personal care facility. Potential features of the building include skilled nurses and assisted living services. Other potential services to be offered in the facility are long term care services, nursing care, acute care and maybe even a walk-in clinic.

According to Hollister, this type of building would create roughly 200 to 300 jobs in the Borough. The jobs would be a mix of part- and full-time positions.

The next step for Dallas Properties is to close on the building by the end of the month. From there, the group hopes the building will be open and operational within 24 months.

Members of the council expressed apparently undivided support for the project. “We are at your disposal, whenever, to get this done quickly,” explained Councilman Greg Pezza.

“It’s a win-win for everyone in this town,” said Council President Ralph DiGuisseppe II.

The project manager for Dallas Properties, Tilak Singh, has multiple successful projects under his belt like the Mill Run project, and the group already has gained medicare and medicaid accreditation.

“We are trying to incorporate multiple services that benefit everyone,” said Singh

According to the group at the council meeting, the finished facility will feature 286 beds.

The building is structurally sound but would need a complete overhaul inside, White told LevittownNow.com earlier this year.

The buildingโ€™s sale price is roughly $400,000.
