Workers reported a large gust of wind in the moments before a portion of the under-construction addition to Lykon Automotive at 3213 Bath Road in Bristol Township collapsed and injured two men, according to an official.

The partial collapse happened at the auto repair location owned by Gerard Lykon around 1:50 p.m. Firefighters from the Newportville Fire Company and the Bristol Township Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene along with medics to find roof trusses and a portion of a block wall collapsed.
The condition of the two men injured in the collapse was unclear as of 4 p.m. Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito did confirm that none of the workers were trapped under debris when he arrived.
Bristol Township Councilman Joe Glasson, also a firefighter, said at the scene that Lykon went to the hospital following the partial collapse to check on the condition of the two men.

Dippolito supervised as workers took down the remaining roof trusses were taken down along with loose cinder blocks.
The partial collapse remains under investigation.

The Bristol Township Council approved the addition to the business in late 2014 and work on the walls began in early April.

According to officials, around 1:50 p.m. on Monday, an addition being built at Lykon Automotive at 3213 Bath Road in Bristol collapsed.
