The Oxford Valley Mall and AbilityPath.org have worked together to offer a special event geared towards special needs children.

The Caring Bunny event, will offer special needs children the opportunity to meet and get their picture with the Oxford Valley Mallโ€™s Easter Bunny in a subdued and less stressful environment before mall hours.

The event, which will take place Sunday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., will help reduce sensory triggers in special needs children by turning off mall music and elevators, dimming the lights, and using a numbering system to eliminate lines.

Event coordinators have asked those who attend to enter the Middletown Township mall through the lower level between Macyโ€™s and J.C. Penney.

AbilityPath.org is an online hub and special needs community for parents and professionals to learn, connect and live a more balanced life. The website combines social networking features with expert content from AbilityPath.orgโ€™s team of educators, parents, therapists and medical professionals.
