Township Manager Bill McCauley said a purchase order for repairs to the bridge that crosses Queen Anne Creek was recently issued.

“The scope of work is to saw cut and remove all deteriorated concrete, repair and coat all exposed rebar with epoxy, repair the corrugated steel decking, apply high-early concrete to the prepared area, and apply caulk to the cold joints at the surface,” he said in an email.
The eastbound lane of the bridge is currently closed to traffic and the westbound lane remains open.
The work requested on the purchase order is expected to cost the township about $7,000.

Township officials have previously said the bridge is slated to reopen in August, but it is unclear if that is still the target date.
