If you’ve ever been to Neshaminy High School’s graduation, you know the line of traffic to get to the Middletown high school is super long.

It’s so long, you can wait up to 30 minutes on Old Lincoln Highway. Long enough that the line of cars filled with those waiting to graduation can stretch into Langhorne Borough. (Okay, well that may be an exaggeration.)

In order to help our readers pass the time, we’ve provided a list of five things to help make your time in traffic on either Old Lincoln Highway or Highland Avenue more enjoyable.

5. Make a Kickin’ Paper Airplane

Okay, kids! Bring some paper and get started on this fun project. It’s cool to make a paper airplane, but you know what’s cooler???? Making one that looks like a military fighter jet! Just remember not to litter.

4. Call Your Mother

I bet your mom wouldn’t mind hearing from their favorite son/daughter/grandchild. With the amount of time you will spend in traffic, you can hear all about Uncle Mort and how he used to tease your mom because she had stubby legs in elementary school … I mean “primary school.”

3. You Can Read a Book

One of your greatest weapons to fight the time drain that takes effect as you wait in traffic: reading a book. You know with the amount of cars stopped in front of you, you may just be able to finish War and Peace. Yes, all 1,156 pages of ย Russian author Leo Tolstoy’s masterpiece.

2. You Can Take Selfies

Get those duck lips ready! It might not be the most productive thing in the world, but who doesn’t love a good selfie. What’s more classic in the 21st Century than taking a photo of yourself with your seatbelt on, lips pursed and your nice clothes on? I mean C’mon! If you do take a selfie, remember to tag with #NeshaminyGraduationSelfie.

1. Facebook

The most reasonable option while waiting in the seemingly never ending line of traffic is to just browse Facebook,ย  Twitter or Instagram. You can talk to mom later or make a lame paper airplane at home. Clearly, social media is the best options to waste your time while STOPPED in traffic. You can stalk Joanne’s photos of the her ugly baby, find out about Chris’ bad day or even find a link to the New Yorker story on Jill Abramson. We all know social media can be a huge black hole for time.
