According to court papers, the woman began to yell following the theft. Demchyshyn fell and dropped the woman’s wallet as he tried to exit the store. Without the wallet, the 28 year old got up and ran outside as the two good Samaritans chased after him, police said.
Tullytown police responded to the Kenwood section of Levittown where a crowd had gathered around the suspect, who was sitting, court papers say.
A hypodermic needle believed to be used to inject drugs was found on Demchyshyn, police said.

The two good Samaritans who were said to have chased down the suspect and detained him were not named in court papers.
Demchyshyn was charged last week via summons with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is set to have a preliminary hearing before District Judge Robert Wagner on July 1.
