Attempts to reach the Bucks County assistant district attorney covering the case were unsuccessful on Tuesday.

According to online court documents, the new felony drug charge was “added by information.”

The statute for new charge reads: “a person ย knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled or counterfeit substance by a person not registered under this act, or a practitioner not registered or licensed by the appropriate State board, unless the substance was obtained directly from, or pursuant to, a valid prescription order or order of a practitioner or except as otherwise authorized by the statute.”

LevittownNow.comย first broke the story of the now former substitute teacher on January 30. She was observed by fifth-grade students rummaging through bookbags and the purse of a school support staff member, according to court documents.

Students told the support staff member what they observed, authorities said. The staff member then reported the information to school and district officials, court records show.

police noted in court papers that Boyce had ย โ€œtrack marksโ€ on her wrist.

Boyce’s attorney said at the March hearing his client would be applying for the ARD program, police sources said.
