Joseph Napoli, 24, of Bristol Township, was arrested last Friday morning after a neighbor says they saw him attempting to break into their Apricot Lane home. The resident, who did not wish to have their name published, tracked Napoli until police arrived and were able to take the 24-year-old into custody.

The resident told LevittownNow.com he spotted Napoli, who lives on his street, peering in his family’s home and attempting to pry the screen off with a saw left in the back of the property after recent yard work. He said Napoli fled when he spotted someone was home.

Police officers lead Napoli across Apricot Lane and into a waiting patrol car after they arrested him Friday morning.

Napoli was later charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and related offenses in connection with an incident the day prior on Apricot Lane.

According to court papers, Napoli used a sledge hammer to break a neighbor’s back door and enter the home in that incident. Inside, the residents discovered drawers and cabinets had been rummaged through, police said. Napoli is also accused of entering three vehicles parked at the house. Police said the 24-year-old likely grabbed the keys and entered the cars.
