A man previously convicted of assaulting a Falls Township woman he had a brief relationship with has been arrested for stalking her.

According to police, Anthony Pekarski, 49, of Croydon, Bristol Township, bothered the woman with phone calls and visits to her Newport Village apartment. The woman reported the problems were ongoing.

Police responded on Friday, January 24 after the woman called to report Pekarski was harassing her.

The woman told police Pekarski “constantly” calls her and leaves messages, some vulgar ones where he fabricates sexual relationships she had with other men, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed against the 49-year-old.

On January 24, the woman said Pekarski showed up and went to her bedroom window. He is alleged to have opened the window slightly while she was attempting to close it and began yelling her name. Police said she was able to close the window and lock it.

An officer found footprints in the snow leading from the parking lot to the window, court papers say.

A few days later, police said Pekarski was outside the woman’s apartment window again.

The woman said she has previously told Pekarski she wants nothing to do with him, according to police.

The 49-year-old was charged with stalking and harassment. He is free on $75,000 unsecured bail.
