Charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property were dropped at a preliminary hearing this week for a Bristol Towship woman accused of using her grandmother’s ATM card to withdraw over $200.
Ashley Kilgore, 21, of Levittown, waived conspiracy and two access device charges up to common pleas court in Dolyestown for trial be Judge Robert Wager on Tuesday.

According to police, Kilgore’s grandmother told them her granddaughter stole funds by taking her debit card, telling authorities the 21-year-old had a “bad heroin addiction,” court records say.
Police returned to the victimized grandmother’s home on October 23 for a second interview, authorities say. She told officers Kilgore admitted to taking her grandmother’s ATM card and taking the funds, adding that Kilgore sent her a text message saying she was “sorry.”
Police met with Kilgore on Aspen Lane in Bristol Township where she told officers “I know why you’re here” and admitted to stealing the ATM card and withdrawing the money at the 7-Eleven on Haines Road. Kilgore told police she wasn’t alone and that Anthony Shelepets, 21, of Levittown, was with her when she withdrew the money, according to court documents

Police took Kilgore into custody on her birthday, October 31, and followed up by obtaining video footage of Kilgore and Shelpets at 7-Eleven, according to police. The two were reportedly “laughing” as they stole her grandmother’s money.
Kilgore told police the ill-gotten funds were used to buy Percocets.

Shelpets will go to trial on a charge of conspiracy. A charge of unauthorized use of a access device was dropped recently at his preliminary hearing, court records show.
Both are currently free on their own recognizance.
