On the heels of a weekend snow storm that brought several inches of snow to the region, forecasters are calling for another snowy system to come through on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service’s Mount Holly office says Tuesday’s storm will be “quick-moving” and produce several inches of snow. A forecast for the Philadelphia region on AccuWeather.com calls for an average of three inches of accumulation through the area with spots possibly getting as much as six inches of the white stuff.

Snow is expected to move in during the morning hours and be over by mid-afternoon, according to a weather service forecast. Temperatures will hover around freezing during the day.

The additional snow comes only a day after a storm produced unexpected totals throughout the area and caused dozens of problems of area roads. From major highways to small neighborhood roads, local government salt and plow crews seemed unprepared for the snow.

Forecasters are predicting another chance of snow showers over the week.
