Due to conflicts of schedule for Middletown Township officials, the second meeting to discuss the proposed 2014 municipal budget, which features a tax increase, has been moved from Monday evening until Wednesday.
The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the township building on Municipal Way.

Officials are expected to provide more information on the budget and proposed earned income tax. A video loop of the budget presentation will be available for residents to view and written feedback will be accepted.

“The meetings are planned to be an ‘open house’ format. Residents will be able to move throughout the room, interacting with elected officials, staff and consultants at various stations,” Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls said last week.

Kuhls said the meeting format is “not conducive to video coverage” on the township channel.
An afternoon meeting was first held last week. That meeting was criticized because of its early start time and the inability of many working to attend.
