A Bristol Borough fire company member was charged Tuesday with reporting false fire calls on 12 separate occasions between July 19 and September 5.

Bristol Borough police opened an investigation after the calls made to the Bucks County 9-1-1 center for fire and smoke conditions. The calls were found to be concentrated throughout a specific geographic location, which caused ย borough fire and police authorities to investigate further, court records say.

The false calls made using various aliases including ย “Jeremiah Heywood,” ย investigators discovered, were allegedly made in times of “boredom” by the suspect – identified as Andre Moore, 21, of Bristol Borough, according ย to court documents.

Moore would use his cell phone to place the bogus calls to dispatchers and report other false information about his identity and cell number, police said.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Moore would report conditions such as a small fire in a fire pit, or smoke coming from a ย barbecue or chimney and would omit, exaggerate, or with hold pertinent information so the phony calls would be treated seriously, thus requiring fire companies and police to respond.

Moore, police charge, created a public risk ย by placing the invented fire calls and faces 12 counts ย reporting a false alarm to an agency of ย public safety.

The suspect is known to take part in coordinating a social media page which posts dispatches, images and videos of local first responders in the field.

According to online court documents he is currently in Bucks County Jail on 10 percent of $50,00o.
