Cops: Michelle Gets Trapped at Bristol’s News World

A Bristol woman saw the opportunity of a lifetime right before her very eyes at Bristol News World late  month police say,  when the suspect saw a an envelope filled with money for the taking.

Problem is, it wasn’t hers to  take, and now she’s facing theft and stolen property charges as she was caught on camera stealing  the cash, court documents say.

Bristol Borough police were dispatched to  the magazine and news shop, around noon on April 22, where video surveillance shows  Michelle Trapp, 42, taking a pouch with approximately $585 in it, the affidavit of probable cause says.

Trapp is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 19 in front of District Court Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr.
