Approximately 20 storage units were damaged in an early Sunday morning blaze.

The fire occurred just past 4:35 a.m. at the Extra Space Storage at the corner of West Trenton Avenue and Lincoln Highway in Falls Township.
Police and fire crews were initially dispatched to nearby Juliet Road for a report of a possible house fire. The first arriving crews found a blaze at the storage facility, not a house in the neighborhood, officials said.
Because of the size of the storage facility, the call was quickly upgraded to bring in additional crews, according to the Falls Township Fire Company.

“Crews worked to force entry to the storage units and stop the fire,” the fire company said.
Firefighters were at the scene for several hours.

Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito told LevittownNow.com the unit where the fire started has been pinpointed. However, the exact cause was still being investigated as of evening.
Several people still need to be interviewed by the fire marshal and detectives as part of the investigation, according to Dippolito.
The fire marshal said many items in the damaged units were destroyed, including a classic car.

In addition to the Falls Township Fire Company, the Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 1, Levittown No. 2, Morrisville, Penndel, Tullytown, William Penn, and Yardley-Makefield fire companies responded. The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad also was at the scene. The Parkland and Third District fire companies provided coverage for Falls Township.
