Man Speaking To Officer Becomes Unresponsive & Dies, Cops Say

A man involved in a one-vehicle crash in Bristol Borough died after becoming unresponsive as he was speaking with an officer.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon at Old Route 13 and Mill Street.

The 65-year-old Bristol Borough man involved was talking to an officer when the apparent medical episode became clear. Officers pulled the man from the vehicle and determined he was in cardiac arrest, police said.

Officers started CPR and used an automated external defibrillator to work to save the man, police said.

The Bucks County Rescue Squad arrived and transported him to Lower Bucks Hospital while attempting to save his life, police said.

The man ended up being pronounced dead at the hospital.

Bristol Borough firefighters and Bensalem EMS responded to assist.
