Amid a rash of catalytic converter thefts in the area, Bristol Borough police have issued a plea for help from the public.
Bristol Borough police on Friday released a set of photos of two suspects and a suspect vehicle believed to be connected to the theft of catalytic converters early in the hours of Tuesday, February 9. One theft took place in the 200 block of Old Route 13 and the second in the 300 block of Pond Street.

The images show the two suspects operating a silver Mercedes Station Wagon.
The Levittown-area has seen a spree of thefts in recent months.
Catalytic converters are easy to steal if you have the know-how and tools. Once stolen, the exhaust emission control devices are harvested of the small amount of the precious metals like platinum, palladium, or rhodium they contain.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau reported that thieves can fetch anywhere from $20 to $240 for selling the precious metals found in catalytic converters.
