Former President Bill Clinton Makes Unexpected Stop In Bristol


Former President Bill Clinton was an unexpected guest in Bristol Borough Tuesday.

The husband of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton showed up at the Mill Street office for his wife’s campaign around 1:30 p.m. He spoke for a few minutes to a packed room filled with supporters.

Bill Clinton pumped up supporters and campaign volunteers ahead of the November 8 election. He told the crowd his wife would grow jobs, help small businesses and help America remain as a leader on the global stage.

“She’s working to the end,” Bill Clinton said.

During his short speech, Bill Clinton pointed out the differences between his wife and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The former president pointed to the recent Brexit vote as a reason to why Democrats should get out and vote this election.

“Every vote counts,” Bill Clinton recited with the group of faithful supporters.

Two Democratic campaign volunteers in attendance told LevittownNow.com Bill Clinton talked with volunteers, took photos with the public and even took a second a sign a fan’s shirt.

The campaign office had Hillary Clinton signs on the walls and one that read “Bill Clinton for First Gentleman.” Another sign reminded volunteers and staff that there are just 21 days until polling places open.

Secret Service agents and borough police closed down Wood Street as the motorcade pulled up to the campaign office. A crowd outside cheered as Bill Clinton exited the office for his motorcade, which promptly a few minutes after 2 p.m. departed and headed to a campaign stop in Montgomery County.
