Schools To Open Late Due To Ice Threat

The forecast of the possibility of light snow, icing, and then rain led to area schools deciding to open on a delay for Tuesday morning.

Bristol Borough School District:

Due to the expected freezing rain and icy road conditions in the early morning, Bristol Borough School District will be on a two-hour delay schedule on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Bristol Township School District:

Due to winter weather conditions and potentially hazardous travel conditions, the Bristol Township School District will operate on a two-hour delayed opening schedule on Tuesday, March 3rd. Please take your bus arrival time and add two-hours to it for morning pickup.  

Start times are as follows:

High School: 9:13 a.m.
Middle: 10 a.m.
Elementary: 11:20 a.m. 

KidTime will also operate on a two-hour delay.

Please dress accordingly for the cold weather conditions, wear appropriate footwear, and walk and travel safely.

Bucks County Technical High School:

Due to anticipated weather and road conditions this morning, BCTHS will open with a 2-hour delay today, March 3rd, 2026. Everyone, please stay safe in your travels today!

Neshaminy School District:

TWO HOUR DELAYED OPENING TODAY

All Neshaminy schools and offices will open on a two-hour delayed schedule this morning (Tuesday 3/3/2026). In consultation with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit and Accu Weather, this decision was made due to the likelihood of frozen precipitation (sleet, ice) during the early morning hours which is expected to change to rain. The delay will allow for that change to happen before the bulk of traffic is on the road and give road crews time to treat road surfaces.

Pennsbury School District:

Due to the possibility for icy conditions in the morning hours, all Pennsbury School District Schools and Offices will operate on a 2-hour delay today, Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Two-hour delay school start times are as follows:

PHS 10:15 am
Middle Schools 9:35 am
Elementary schools 11:00 am

Please note:

Buses will arrive at stops two hours later than usual.
Schools will begin two hours later than usual. 
Our crews are out, but some sidewalks, parking lots, and intersections may still be slippery. Please plan accordingly.
