

A 21-year-old man was arrested on his birthday late last month after allegedly fleeing from police earlier this year.

The 21-year-old Levittown man has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, reckless driving, and driving an unregistered vehicle, and several other traffic offenses.
The incident happened on Wednesday, Jan. 7, when a Bristol Township police officer patrolling at the Motel 6 parking lot on Route 13 ran the plates on a white Jeep Cherokee.
According to police, the registration had been expired since August 2024, and the vehicleโs owner had a suspended driverโs license.

Police said a man matching the ownerโs description exited the motel and drove the Jeep toward the back of the property. He turned the SUV onto Airport Road.
The officer began following the vehicle onto Manning Boulevard, police said.

According to authorities, the driver failed to use a turn signal while navigating through an industrial park area toward Harmer Avenue.
When the officer activated emergency lights, the driver allegedly accelerated onto Hartel Street, police said.
The officer alerted other officers that the vehicle was fleeing as the driver continued toward Runway Road at a high rate of speed, police said.

The pursuit continued as the driver turned right onto Runway Road and then onto Edgely Road toward Route 13, police said.
Officers terminated the pursuit once the vehicle began heading southbound on Route 13.

Police reported seeing the driver maneuver around two other vehicles and turn onto Route 13 without signaling. Officers spotted the driver appear to steer toward Airport Road before weaving back into traffic to continue south on Route 13 toward Green Lane.
A warrant was issued after the chase, and the man was taken into custody late last month. He was preliminarily arraigned and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
