NEARBY: Police Seek Tips After Body Found In Parking Lot

Bensalem Township police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old man whose body was discovered last week in the parking lot of a hotel.

Police identified the deceased as Zachary Dooney, whose last known address was in Newville, Cumberland County.

Bensalem Township officers responded to the Benjamin Rush Hotel, the former Neshaminy Motor Inn, at 2345 Old Lincoln Highway at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, after a report of a body found outside.

Police said responding officers found a man lying on his back in the parking lot.

The man had no identification, but investigators confirmed his identity at the scene using a mobile fingerprint scanner, police said.

Dooney was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with โ€œRob Nolfi Roofingโ€ printed on the front and gray sweatpants.

Police are treating the incident as a suspicious death and are seeking the public’s help.

Detectives are asking anyone who had contact with or observed Dooney prior to his death on Oct. 27 to contact police at 215-633-3719. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department’s CrimeWatch page.
