

Police were called to Morrisville Borough Friday to manage a crowd of approximately 300 juveniles and young adults who had been turned away from a Halloween party.

Morrisville Borough Chief of Police Rich Ciampa said officers were dispatched to the unit block of Delmor Avenue area around 8:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a large gathering.
The crowd, which included many people who were from surrounding towns and without transportation, were safely monitored and dispersed over the course of more than an hour as they waited for rides, the chief said.
The chief also addressed word circulating on social media about the incident.

There were no disputes and officers observed no evidence of any weapons. Only one minor property damage complaint was reported in connection with the incident, Ciampa said.
Ciampa said officers remained on the scene to maintain order and monitor the situation until the crowd cleared.

The chief thanked residents for their patience and support.
Falls Township police officers and the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission assisted, the chief said.
Ciampa said in a statement that the work of all led to a “safe and peaceful outcome for our community.”
